Trip to Bodensee

Day one

Vienna to Bregenz, dont laugh but we took the train to Feldkich

Its interesting loading the bike, there is no headroom so you are flat over the tank, Very relaxing journey, 

And the views spectacular, one of the best train journeys I have made by train

 

so arrived in Felkirch time to off load the bike and ride to Bregenz

Hotel was in the centre and we rode straight there

 Next day a trip to Lindau, by train there

It is a beautiful old town from the middle ages 

Then back to Bregenz by ship

Now time for a spritzer before the Pfänderbahn

Next day ride to Salem

Then to Meersburg for 3 nights

One day spent on Mainau, famous for its gardens 

Then back to meersburg

 

Next day we head to Konstanz

Then it was time to head to Innsbruck 308 to Immenstadt then to Reutte, followed by a ride through the Fernpass, great ride :-),

 Trip to ambras castle

Then back to good old Vienna Via the 178, which to be honest was a disappointment, heavy traffic and lots of restrictions, stopped at Bad Reichenhall the most biker unfriendly town you could possible come across, no biker signs everywhere, after a good soaking past Salzburg to Linz, recovered with a cup of coffee, gloves on exhaust pipes to dry them out, now warmer and refreshed we made our way back for a nice tot of woods old navy rum ;-)
